Every time my agent breaks my UI, I add a rule to its skill — 10 design laws
_AustinCalvert_ · x · 2026-10-26
mortenjust shares his practice: whenever his agent messes up his UI, he adds an item to its skill. The accumulated 10 rules: never add unrequested labels; keep controls consistent by finding similar ones; stay consistent in style/layout/experience; reuse components to enforce consistency; keep related things together; animate only when it gives needed context; apply Occam's Razor to every element (does it belong? does removal break UX? is there a more direct way?); keep removing until you can't; never use jargon; and avoid language as much as possible for a worldwide audience.
