People-search sites syndicate your data everywhere, then charge you to remove it

A tweet calling out the people-data broker business model:
- These sites syndicate your personal data across hundreds or thousands of websites.
- To remove a record, you must fill out a separate "suppression" form for each site.
- Then they upsell you a paid service to remove your info from their other hundreds of sites.
It's a privacy-extortion loop: create the problem, then charge to fix it.
