Frustrated by monitoring vendors charging $30/mo for a custom status domain, $34/mo for webhook alerts, and $330/mo for white-label, indie developer Pawel Huryn built and launched staygreen.io — free for life.
It offers uptime, SSL, DNS, TCP and heartbeat monitors; checks that read your app's responses; Stripe webhook and Supabase project checks; alerts via Email, Telegram, Slack, Discord and webhooks; a status page on your own domain; and an MCP server for AI agents. Free tier: 1 app, 50 monitors, 5 heartbeats, HTTP checks every 3 minutes from SF & Toronto, commercial use allowed. Just provide your app URL and it suggests monitors, thumbnails and branding. He'll open-source it after 500 users or 1,000 GitHub stars.
