Old Android phone + Termux runs 24/7 AI agent, trains PyTorch MNIST to 99.59%

No need for a Mac mini to run an always-on AI agent: old Android phones with Termux can do 'insane things.' The screenshot shows an agent building and training a from-scratch LeNet-5-style convnet (184,778 params, no pretrained weights, no torchvision) on-device: verified MNIST .gz files by MD5, 10 epochs of AdamW with cosine decay and translation augmentation, CPU-only in 20.5 minutes, reaching 99.59% test accuracy (9,959/10,000), with an independent eval script reproducing the result. A compelling demo of cheap, local agent hardware.
