r/OpenSource bans all AI content—Linux kernel contributors could be next

According to Lunduke Journal, the r/OpenSource subreddit has officially banned anything involving AI in any way, with permanent bans for violators. Blogger adonissingh mocked the blanket policy as a great way to become irrelevant.
The irony: the Linux kernel development process itself already uses AI assistance extensively, so under this rule even Linux kernel submissions could get users banned—an open-source community effectively shutting out the most important open-source project in the world.
