Powerhouse hosts free Shenzhen program for hardware founders building in China
DominiqueCAPaul · x · 2026-10-25
Visiting Powerhouse's office in Shenzhen's Bao'an district, the author recounts how founder Ryan moved to Shenzhen 11 years ago and now helps Western companies build and scale hardware production in China. The generative art display in the office was one of their first client products (a @MeetLayer screen for hotel lobbies). Ryan is hosting a first batch of young hardware founders at his office at no cost — topics in their Sunday chats include RL for robotic arms, building in public vs stealth, and bootstrapping vs raising VC money.
