Using your first image as style reference locks the composition, not just colors

The author shares an image-generation pitfall: using the first generated image as a style reference made the model copy not just the palette but the composition — same moon, same arch, same puddle every time. The fix: drop the reference, let the prompt carry the palette, and direct framing separately. Model choice also matters: with the same prompt, Firefly Image 5 zoomed in on leaves while GPT Sunburst understood the greenhouse was the subject, so the whole series was done with Sunburst.
