A SF Chronicle piece on Dario and Daniela Amodei's years at San Francisco's elite public high school Lowell includes an anecdote from their teacher: during the Y2K panic, Dario was "literally upset and worried" that computers would break on Jan. 1, 2000, while the teacher thought "a lot of things will stop working for a few days... but who cares?" — "I wasn't in the end of the world camp, and Dario was. I thought that was curious."
