Dev feeds Grok thermal camera and live video to auto-debug overheating hardware
Baconbrix · x · 2026-10-25
After a hardware smoke incident, Baconbrix now films everything so Grok can see what happens, and gave it a thermal camera to detect overheating components and send alerts. His takeaway: he was giving Grok far too little telemetry — "we measure everything when building software, why would robots be any different" — so he now streams constant sensor, thermal, and visual data for the bot to debug failures in real time.
