YesboxStudios shared an update on their city simulation project Metropolis 1998: the map now spans 230 square miles while using about 11.5 GB of RAM. For reference, NYC is roughly 300 square miles, and the team plans to cap the map there for novelty. The engine wasn't originally designed for huge maps, so oversized cities will remain experimental; the launch version supports a maximum map of 7.6 x 7.6 miles (12.2 x 12.2 km).
