Two key engineers on Anthropic's Claude Code team have left, per X user markk:
- Thariq Shihipar, a lead engineer who spent over a year helping scale the AI coding tool, called it his most fun and most stressful job to date.
- Anthony Morris, who built the Claude Code desktop app, said yesterday was his final day, joking he now has time for GTA VI and thanking users.
A follow-up update says the pair are rumored to be poached by a SpaceX-linked outfit (SpaceXSI); the claim is unconfirmed.
