Yacine says he uses DeepSeek to reverse engineer Melee after Claude logging complaints
yacineMTB · x · 2026-10-25
Developer Yacine, continuing his controversial take that Claude usage should be logged, reveals he switched to DeepSeek with his own agent pool to reverse engineer video games like Melee and Rain World because Claude logs user activity.
He also raises a pointed question: pushing technically skilled people toward uncensored overseas models to do the same work may be a worse outcome, since reverse engineering and hacking don't require much intelligence.
