Reverse engineer finds Samsung TV code that can spoof the power LED state

Security researcher @log4j discovered while reverse-engineering Samsung's Tizen TV system that code exists to artificially change the state of the power LED — meaning the standby light may not accurately reflect whether the mic is active.
Oddly, the debug pointer to this LED control lives inside Samsung's voice client, the service that handles far-field voice recording. The researcher questions why a voice service would set power LED state at all, hinting the light could be deliberately masked during recording.
This is part of an ongoing series of Tizen reverse-engineering findings, with a more systematic breakdown to follow.
