Claude Code engineer leaves Anthropic after a year, fueling new lab speculation

trq212 announced his departure from Anthropic after more than a year working on Claude Code, which he says scaled beyond anything he imagined. In a farewell post he praised his colleagues as the most talented and earnest people he's worked with and the mission of a "race to the top."
The leaver notes the rumor was predicted hours earlier by the leak account Mr Arfur Grok, and at least one other person may be leaving too — sparking speculation about another neolab being born.
