AI-designed 3D-printed electric motor prototype hints at a real-life 'matter compiler'

Troy McCann shared an early prototype of an AI-designed, 3D-printed electric motor. The team used their Continuum Engine platform to rapidly run electromagnetic, thermal and mechanical simulations, then built the optimized physical model with their Fabricator machine.
The long-term goal: a single small machine that assembles full products — drones, satellites, medical devices — from raw materials, producing electronics, motors, chassis, batteries and antennas together without supply-chain fragility. "Very close to letting you vibe code with a real-life matter compiler."
