Musk says no H100s to rent; experts urge banning Chinese firms from renting US AI chips
chrisrohlf · x · 2026-10-24
CSIS's Gregory Allen cites Musk complaining on the earnings call that SpaceX can't rent Nvidia GB300s or even H100s. Chris McGuire argues US AI compute shortages stem not just from H200 sales to China but from Chinese firms legally remote-renting US chips, urging a ban on Chinese remote access. Allen claims full export controls wouldn't cost Nvidia a penny of revenue.
