DIY AI mini-series with LTX 2.5: full workflow, $8-10 per episode, and hard-won lessons

A Reddit user is producing a 10-15 episode AI mini-series (animals worldwide stop cooperating with humans) mostly with LTX 2.5; the first two episodes are out, along with a detailed workflow.
Workflow:
- Start/end frames: stills generated in ChatGPT with fixed character reference images for face consistency.
- Video: LTX 2.5 image-to-video at 1920x1088 using Lightricks' official ltx-pipelines code (no ComfyUI), usually with start + end keyframes; LTX also generates audio and dialogue; a few shots done in Grok.
- Hardware: rented RTX PRO 6000 (96GB) on RunPod; a 5s 1080p clip takes 100s.
- Cost: each 4-5 minute episode runs $8-10 in GPU rental including failed takes. Editing in Clipchamp.
Lessons learned:
- Identical backgrounds in start/end frames make LTX freeze the background (crows hanging motionless) — redraw the start frame with subjects repositioned.
- An end frame on fast action yields slow motion then a hold; omit it or keep clips short.
- Without an end frame, LTX may cut on its own after 4s and invent a new location.
- Write reactions explicitly ("they turn their heads...") or characters stare blankly.
- Chain shots by cleaning the previous shot's last frame into a still as the next start frame for consistent positions and faces.
