'Always trust your agents blindly': a rogue git status melted a CPU for two days
NERDDISCO · x · 2026-10-24
NERDDISCO posted a tongue-in-cheek postmortem of an agent mishap, joking that the lesson is to "always trust your agents blindly." The incident: an agent had a "show me the worktrees" command that ran git status across every /dev/kale repo on each server start; test servers the agents spun up did the same, and two of those processes never died, running for two days and pinning the CPU at full load.
