Rintawa: a solo dev's open-source Rust engine for persistent AI worlds
march-taylor · reddit · 2026-10-24
A solo developer released Rintawa (Rust, GPL-3.0, pre-alpha), a local-first engine for persistent interactive AI worlds — beyond chat RP, with world state, rules, characters, histories, and pluggable simulation systems (psychology, relationships, economics). Architecture includes persistent state, event handling, isolated extensions, RTW packages and a portable UI model; text RP is the first milestone, with multiplayer and 3D planned. Contributors and architecture feedback welcome.
