NVIDIA Earth-2 simulates thousands of cyclone seasons, one in under 10 min
NVIDIA Developer · youtube · 2026-10-24
NVIDIA and insurer AXA showed at GTC Berlin how FourCastNet 3 on NVIDIA Earth-2 uses AI to model tropical cyclone risk. The historical record spans only 45 years, but pricing 50-year risk demands more: a single AI ensemble member runs in under 10 minutes on one H100, enabling thousands of synthetic cyclone seasons — giving insurers a dense global view of storm tracks and co-occurrence that physics-based models cannot match.
