Xaira launches X-Automate, pairing agentic AI with robots to break the wet-lab bottleneck
BoWang87 · x · 2026-10-23
Bo Wang, co-founder of Xaira, unveiled X-Automate, arguing the biggest bottleneck in AI for biology is no longer idea generation but the wet lab: AI can propose more experiments than labs can run.
The system combines:
- X-Scientist: interprets camera feeds, screens, and instrument software to coordinate workflows
- X-Bot: handles physical interactions
- Mobile robots: transport samples between stations
Together they connect protein production to experimental characterization, letting thousands of promising designs be built and tested autonomously.
