LukeW built a tool for experimenting with how agent work is shown in UI
LukeW · x · 2026-10-23
Luke Wroblewski notes agents do a lot of work—reasoning, tool use, delegation, monitoring—but how much should your app's UI show? He built an interactive design tool, Intent, to try out designs and tweak details:
- Scope: show every step / group by message / only changes and failures / recent steps only / fully hidden
- Details: font size and family options, light/dark, how much reasoning to show (full / first sentence / hidden), grouping by tool type, timeline views, and more
