Chrome DevTools for Agents Brings MCP Security and Tuning to Coding Agents

Chrome 153/154 DevTools updates center on "DevTools for agents": the Chrome DevTools MCP server adds Agent Plugins 1.0 support, configurable JavaScript execution controls (--no-javascript-evaluation and more), on-demand source map loading, configurable filesystem root and CLI path permissions, plus memory analysis capabilities like heap snapshot queries. Performance Insights now supports SPA soft navigation analysis, alongside updates including ad script tracking, CPU performance tier overlays, and source inspection and performance traces in AI assistance.
