huashu-design 3.0 released: open-source design skill hits 25k stars after three iterations

Background

Inspired by Claude Design in April, the author had an agent reverse-engineer its system prompt and design mechanisms, packaging the result as the open-source skill huashu-design (MIT, free for commercial use). Tell your agent "build a website / PPT / app prototype" and it sources assets and outputs HTML, delivering web pages, clickable prototypes, PPTX-exportable slides, animations, or infographics; vague prompts trigger three real design directions to choose from.

What 3.0 fixes

v2 solved v1's monotony with three parallel style-selection logics, but projects started looking alike: a hardcoded default aesthetic (warm cream + serif + terracotta) pulled every theme toward one look — 3 of 5 test sets converged. v3 took three iterations (the first two lost to v2) and now uses fixed test prompts like landing pages and crowdfunding decks for validation.
