Performance Drone Works is integrating Shield AI's Hivemind mission-autonomy software—licensed via Booz Allen Hamilton—into its Attritable Multirotor drone platform. Booz Allen invested in PDW in April to scale US drone manufacturing, with a Huntsville factory designed for up to 100,000 drones annually. The deal extends a partner-led distribution model, and highlights that Shield AI is fundamentally an autonomy software company that also builds drones.
