Open-source Row-Bot 5.1 connects local AI to 100+ apps and 40,000 MCP servers
Acceptable-Object390 · reddit · 2026-10-23
Open-source project Row-Bot v5.1 unifies app discovery, connections, and access controls in one Apps page for local AI: 100+ built-in apps (GitHub, Notion, Linear, Figma, Stripe) plus 40,000 MCP server listings from the official registry, mirrored locally for offline search by name or intent ("send email").
- Connection flows vary by service: OAuth, API key, or local server; a consent sheet explains where requests go, keys stay in the system keychain
- Demo shows read-only Context7 access used in chat, per-step app attribution, custom MCP servers, and read vs. write tool distinction
- In-chat interactive dashboards with approval-gated actions; per-chat app selection, per-app or per-tool permissions, one switch to stop all apps
Demoed on a fresh v5.1.0 profile running Qwen3.8 27B locally, narration via built-in TTS. Code on GitHub.
