Run Lola Run Director Tom Tykwer Uses Seedance 2.5 for AI Film Experiment Volcano High

- ByteDance's BytePlus announced a collaboration with Tom Tykwer, director of Run Lola Run, alongside director-playwright Bonn Park and producer Sarika Hemi Lakhani, using Seedance 2.5 on the BytePlus platform over live-action footage for an AI filmmaking experiment called Volcano High (a stage play meets AI cinema).
- The sharpest point comes from AI production veteran Ludovic Creator (two years of AI tooling in real productions including Amazon Prime Video): generating a beautiful shot is the easy part — the edit is where AI shots die. Director tweaks shift the space, change costume colors, and make faces drift.
- So the real bar for a production tool isn't how one shot looks, but whether it holds up across iterations: same space, same characters, same style, take after take. He'll be judging the project on that standard.
