Grok Bot found a stage-4 lung cancer patient a clinical trial near home

A patient with stage-4 ALK+ lung cancer shared that Grok Bot found him a clinical trial an hour from his home — an opportunity he'd never have known about otherwise.
- He wanted the new ALK drug TRI-611 but not with constant cross-country travel; in September the trial added the University of Cincinnati as a site, and his bot caught the change.
- It also flagged an eligibility question for his oncologist.
- Previously his sources were passive: random X posts, his oncologist (who never mentioned trials), and a Facebook patient group. Now the bot checks for new options every morning.
A striking example of agents solving real medical information-access problems.
