Open-source math dependency graph goes public, praised by Rutgers professor
AlexKontorovich · x · 2026-10-23
A fully open-source (though still imperfect and iterating) dependency graph of math topics well past multivariable calculus has been released. Rutgers math professor Alex Kontorovich called it amazing and shared his own paper-based variant built for a high-school-to-middle-school tutoring camp, drawing on Math Academy ideas like spaced repetition, retrieval practice, and interleaving. He is now adapting the model at the college level, where students who aced Calc 2 would serve as Learning Assistants delivering paper worksheets tailored to each Precalc student's needs.
