NVIDIA officially released Isaac Lab 3.0, a major update to its robot learning workflow. Key features:
- New modular, lightweight architecture
- Multi-physics and multi-rendering support (Newton integration, new OVRTX renderer)
- Training at scale
- RL post-training and LEAPP deployment for real hardware
Ruben Dsa, formerly on OpenAI's robotics team (Rubik's Cube sim-to-real project), traces his path from the 2015 DQN paper to building the platform.
