MCP Elicitation lands in Claude: servers can ask users questions mid-action
bibryam · x · 2026-10-23
Elicitation lets an MCP server ask the user a question in the middle of an action: confirm a destructive step, fill in a missing setting, or hand off to a URL for sign-in or authorization. The server defines the question; the client presents it. Now available in Claude, it closes the gap where agents couldn't check with users before critical steps.
