3 Quarks Daily's AI policy: publish human writing, use AI only where it adds real value
lmoroney · x · 2026-10-23
3 Quarks Daily has published one of the more thoughtful AI policies around: most of what it publishes is still written entirely by humans with no AI involvement, and AI is used selectively — only when it gives readers something that would be hard to produce otherwise.
One cited example: turning a long, technical METR report into an accessible explainer for general readers — a case where AI genuinely adds value humans couldn't easily replicate.
