Google Cloud GA's Anthropic-managed Claude deployment with day-zero model access
rseroter · x · 2026-10-23
- Google Cloud announced general availability of an Anthropic-managed deployment option for Claude: Anthropic acts as data processor on GCP infrastructure under Anthropic's commercial terms.
- Difference vs Google-managed: Anthropic-managed gets day-zero Claude platform features (Managed Agents beta, skills, code execution) and first-party tools; Google-managed offers VPC Service Controls, CMEK, and US/EU/APAC data residency with slower feature rollouts.
- Both options have day-zero model availability, identical pricing, GCP IAM, Cloud Audit Logging, and draw down eligible Google Cloud commitments.
