AI fashion app Alta raises $20M Series A led by Forerunner

Alta, the AI styling app founded by Jenny Wang, raised a $20 million Series A led by Forerunner Ventures, with Eurie Kim joining the board and existing backers Menlo Ventures, Aglaé (LVMH), and Benchstrength participating.
Dubbed a real-life version of the Clueless digital closet, Alta generates accurate avatars from two selfies, renders outfits in seconds, and ingests entire wardrobes from photos, product links, video scans, or receipts. Its stack includes over a dozen specialized models trained with real stylists in the loop. Per Forerunner, users have created 20M+ avatars and 700M outfits, spending 56,000 cumulative hours just watching avatars render — now one avatar is generated every second.
