Trader dismisses AI circular financing theory: every new megawatt booked at rising spot prices
JOBhakdi · x · 2026-10-23
Responding to concerns that AI demand is partly circular — suppliers funding customers who buy their chips — JOBhakdi argues the reality is simpler: every kilowatt of new capacity is booked out in perpetuity at rising spot prices.
In his view this has nothing to do with supplier financing and everything to do with market demand, which he says is 'through the roof' and growing daily — the demand-is-real side of the AI power debate.
