IskayPet unifies knowledge across 3 countries on Bedrock Knowledge Bases, built with Kiro

AWS ML Blog profiles IskayPet, the Iberian pet-care giant behind Kiwoko and Tiendanimal (330+ stores, 4,500 employees), which built a corporate knowledge assistant on Amazon Bedrock Managed Knowledge Bases.
Problem: answers to operational questions lived in hundreds of SharePoint docs across Spain, Portugal, and France in four languages; manual search was slow and often outdated.
Solution: managed RAG with —
- Native SharePoint connector (no migration) plus advanced indexing that extracts images inside documents
- Built-in hybrid semantic + BM25 search and managed reranking, no vector infra to run
- Document-level access control inheriting SharePoint permissions at retrieval time
- Per-assistant knowledge bases scoped by domain, with mandatory source citations
Highlight: the whole stack, from store-facing frontend to AWS architecture and deployment, was built with Kiro on Claude Haiku 4.5, letting a small team reach production quickly.
