Anthropic donates Agent Skills to Agentic AI Foundation, now in 70+ platforms

Anthropic is donating the Agent Skills standard to the Agentic AI Foundation, the same foundation that received MCP. Since December 2025, 70+ agent platforms have integrated the standard, including ChatGPT, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, and VS Code.
Agent Skills is a lightweight open format: a folder with a SKILL.md file bundling metadata, instructions, scripts, and templates that give agents domain expertise and repeatable workflows across compatible products.
