RentAKaren: a real service that rents humans to handle complaints your AI agent can't win
mathemagic1an · x · 2026-10-23
RentAKaren.ai is a new (and intentionally funny) service: your AI agent can book a flight, but it can't get through to the manager — so you rent a Karen, a real human who files complaints, chases refunds, cancels gym memberships, and deals with landlords on your behalf.
You send your agent (Claude, ChatGPT, Meta Muse, etc.) a prompt pointing to the llms.txt; the agent signs you up, builds a custom connector for the Karen API, stores the key, interviews you, and shows an escrow total before paying. Absurd on the surface, but an interesting take on agent-plus-human fallback workflows.
