At AGNTCon + MCPCon, Google Cloud announced the Agent Compute Engine (ACE), a new VM type purpose-built for running AI agents at scale.
The system bundles four components: Agent Gateway, Agent Registry, Agent Identity, and Agent Observability. Alongside ACE, Google expanded Gemini for Business agent governance to help enterprises run, govern, and scale their agents — a sign cloud providers are building dedicated infrastructure layers for agentic workloads.
