Auth0's take on securing agentic commerce: one identity layer under four agent channels
yenkel · x · 2026-10-23
yenkel recommends a new post by Auth0 Chief Product Architect Sandrino Di Mattia on securing agentic commerce. It maps four channel archetypes — embedded agents you own, platform-hosted MCP apps/connectors, commerce protocols like UCP and Copilot Checkout, and personal agents running in the customer's own VM/browser — and argues for a single identity layer underneath: recognize the agent, know the human, link accounts, scope consent, step up, revoke and audit. The post also explains how UCP and the Personal Agent Protocol fit together.
