a16z announced the 50 fellows in its inaugural Ops Engineering Fellowship, an 8-week cohort of leaders transforming their organizations with AI, selected from thousands of applications.
- Fellows sit at the operations-engineering intersection: building internal tools that consolidate the stack, designing the data and context layers agents draw on, and deploying agentic workflows with human checkpoints.
- Companies represented include Ramp, Decagon, Luma AI, Opendoor, ElevenLabs, Shopify, Notion, Cognition, Vercel, Stripe and Glean.
- Some are COOs and chiefs of staff deciding which workflows to automate first and which KPIs prove it works.
