VC's AI request-for-startups: agent app servers, memory infra, and intelligence routers
matt_slotnick · x · 2026-10-23
Investor Matt Slotnick published his personal "request for startups" listing five themes he wants to build around:
- An app server for agent apps, with agents deployed as configs to a shared runtime;
- An open, community-managed app ecosystem of shared, modular, vibe-codable templates;
- Agent memory: deep memory semantics on object storage — "turbopuffer for memory";
- An intelligence router for existing platforms, which aggregate demand for intelligence but don't capture the economics;
- If everything is infrastructure, what happens to app-layer software businesses?
