Alignment Journal opens submissions, pays reviewers, publishes review summaries
conitzer · x · 2026-10-22
Alignment Journal, covering theoretical work on agency, robustness, incentives, interpretability, generalization and long-term AI behavior, is now open to all submissions. It pays reviewers with speed/insight bonuses, publishes each accepted paper with a review summary, judges against a fixed bar rather than relative rankings, and lets researchers self-nominate to review publicly listed in-review papers. Board includes Hadfield-Menell, Lazar, Christiano, Irving, Hutter, Aaronson and Krakovna.
