Roboclaw agent autonomously traces and fixes OpenClaw UI bug, PR merged
heyneighbor · x · 2026-10-22
During OpenClaw's Focus Week, a guest developer reports that the Roboclaw agent autonomously root-caused a stale plan-usage popover bug and wrote the fix, verified live on the author's own Gateway; the PR was merged into main.
The root cause: the UI retained the models.authStatus response until OAuth token expiry, so usage never aged out independently, compounded by the Gateway's 60-second stale-while-revalidate usage cache. The fix requests usage only after the Gateway-provided freshness deadline elapses, keeping normal reads nonblocking. A full agent loop from diagnosis to merged PR.
