Founder banned from Claude two days after annual renewal despite $1,500 monthly spend

A US-based founder and green card holder says his Claude team plan was banned just two days after its annual renewal, despite spending over $1,500 in the past month and using Claude only for personal and US business work — he was merely temporarily in China when it happened.
He asks Anthropic to explain the ban, and argues that if physical presence in China is a hard restriction, the company should refund unused subscription time rather than ban accounts right after collecting an annual fee.
