Alter Zero: open-source Rust terminal agent for coding and automation, now at v0.15.0
Hacking0912 · reddit · 2026-10-22
Alter Zero is an open-source (Apache-2.0) terminal agent written in Rust for coding, cybersecurity and automation on Linux/macOS. It reads files, makes edits, runs commands, interacts with live terminal programs, and supports subagents, reusable skills, MCP servers and session resumption, with human approval by default. It works with major providers, local models via Ollama, or custom OpenAI-compatible APIs; v0.15.0 adds simpler custom-provider config and streaming file content.
