He rebuilt his Android TV UI with Codex over WiFi — and it runs faster

Annoyed by a slow, bloated Android TV interface, a developer used Codex to build his own replacement UI. He networked the TV with Codex over WiFi, pushed the AI-generated code straight onto the device, and reports the setup now runs much faster with a simpler interface.
A replying user notes that modifying TV screens normally requires LAN debugging and hours of wrestling with vendor bloatware — making this a notable example of ordinary people pulling off system-level hacks with AI coding tools.
