Dev wires a USB Busylight into Claude Code hooks as a physical status light
Fincut · reddit · 2026-10-22
A Reddit user repurposed an old Kuando Busylight into a physical status indicator for Claude Code using its hooks system: blinking red while Claude works, solid red when it needs input, green when idle. He runs long agent tasks (e.g. generating 3D models for a Battleship game) on a separate laptop, and the light removes the constant screen-checking. The setup is reproducible with any USB light plus Claude Code hooks.
