Humanoid robot daily rentals crash from $4,200 to $280 as prices collapse

Robot rentals are collapsing in China: Unitree G1 daily rent has fallen below 2,000 yuan (dog robots under 500 yuan), from peaks of 30,000 yuan a year ago.
- G1 dropped from 99,000 to 85,000 yuan; Songyan's "Xiaobumi" broke the 10,000-yuan barrier. Second-hand engineering units bought at 300k-800k yuan are cleared at "50,000 yuan per truckload," 90% value loss.
- Demand is fragile: entertainment/marketing gigs make up 65% of orders, mostly one-off mall and wedding appearances; industrial use is the fastest-growing segment (10% on platform Qingtianzu).
- Platform consolidation: Qingtianzu (backed by Zhiyuan) raised four rounds in four months at a 7B yuan valuation, runs "1-yuan flash rentals," dispatches 4,000+ robots; partner payback may far exceed the official 6-month median.
- With Unitree's Wang Xingxing targeting 3,000-4,000 yuan robots, depreciation fears keep lessors from stocking up, even as the 2026 rental market is forecast to top 10B yuan, up 900%+.
