diffy: a native GPU-accelerated, VCS-agnostic diff viewer built in Rust
seatedro · x · 2026-10-22
Developer seatedro released diffy, an open-source, native, cross-platform, VCS-agnostic GPU-accelerated diff viewer supporting Git and JJ. He argues line diffs suck: while optimal tree edit distance with moves is NP-hard, Myers' diff algorithm can still be meaningfully improved for day-to-day use. Written in Rust, GPL-3.0, one-line install on macOS/Linux/Windows, 150+ stars.
